Matthew Kaminski, Esq

About

Born and raised in South Florida, Matthew Kaminski received a degree in History from the University of Florida in 2006. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree in 2009 from the College of Law at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Matthew Kaminski has been practicing law since he passed the Florida Bar in 2009. He began working at a real estate litigation firm in Plantation, Florida. He participated in mediations and practiced law in Civil Court all over the State of Florida. Some of the areas he practiced included judicial mortgage foreclosure, title actions, evictions, and many others.

In 2011, Mr. Kaminski relocated to the Pacific Northwest and was admitted to the Washington State Bar later that same year. He went on to open his office in the heart of Belltown at the historic Markham Building on 3rd Ave and Blanchard. In addition to providing quality legal service, he began volunteering with the King County Bar Association’s Housing Justice Project and Kinship Care Solutions Project providing free services to Low-Income clients. Matthew Kaminski proudly works with the Legal Voice, a women's rights group benefiting the State of Washington.

Mr. Kaminski went on to relocate to the Tri-Cities as the Senior Managing attorney at Ashby Law, ultimately heading up their Yakima office. This collaboration continued until March of 2019, when Ashby Law withdrew his firm from the Yakima / Kittitas area. The end of this collaboration did not stop him as his desire to help people has always been what he strives for. As a result, he went on to create Yakima Law, PLLC. Here, he practiced family law, criminal law and other civil matters.

Finally, in March of 2023, he returned to Florida to take care of family and joined Shield Law Group! He focuses on bringing justice to homeowners who had been wrongfully denied the insurance benefits that they so rightly deserved. At Shield Law Group, Mr. Kaminski focuses his practice on first party insurance litigation, foreclosure defense, and civil practice.
