About

I hold a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and was admitted to the Bar in 2015. I also hold a Masters in Business and Administration (MBA), Bachelors of Art in Organizational Management and an Associate Degree (legal studies).

I’ve worked for local governmental agencies in the Kissimmee/Orlando, Florida area for over 30 years. Prior to rejoining the City of Orlando’s Office of Human Relations as the Human Relations Official in June of 2016, I had previously worked for the City of Orlando for ten years (2000-2010) in the City Attorney’s Office and in the Office of Human Relations.​​ Prior to returning to the City of Orlando in June of 2016, I practiced as a private attorney in the area of employment, criminal and family law. I also am a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family and County Court Mediator and have been a County Court Mediator for the Ninth Circuit (Orange & Osceola Counties) since 2007. I have been an adjunct instructor at various local colleges in the Orlando area since 2001.

I served as a board member on the International Association of Official Human Rights Agencies (IAOHRA) from 2017-2022. In 2022, I started solo practicing law in the areas of Family Law, Civil Rights Law (employment & housing) and Special Education Law. I also offer consulting in the areas of employment and housing discrimination as well as mediation services.

Lastly, I joined Shield Law Group as a fulltime attorney and have practiced in First Party Insurance Defense are. Here, I have represented homeowners who have suffered property damage as a result of a Hurricane and/or water leak against their Insurance Carries who had wrongfully denied them coverage. ​
