Gwendolyn Wiggins, Esq., holds a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and was admitted to the Bar in 2015. Additionally, she has earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management, and an Associate Degree in Legal Studies.
With over 30 years of experience working for local governmental agencies in the Kissimmee and Orlando, Florida area, Gwendolyn has a distinguished career in public service. Since June 2016, she has served as the Human Relations Official for the City of Orlando’s Office of Human Relations. This role followed a decade-long tenure with the City of Orlando (2000–2010), where she contributed to the City Attorney’s Office and the Office of Human Relations. Before rejoining the City, Gwendolyn practiced as a private attorney specializing in employment, criminal, and family law.
Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family and County Court Mediator, Gwendolyn has been mediating for the Ninth Judicial Circuit (Orange and Osceola Counties) since 2007. An educator at heart, she has also been an adjunct instructor at several colleges in the Orlando area since 2001.
From 2017 to 2022, Gwendolyn served as a board member for the International Association of Official Human Rights Agencies (IAOHRA). In 2022, she transitioned to solo legal practice, focusing on family law, civil rights law (employment and housing), and special education law. Consulting services in employment and housing discrimination, as well as mediation services, are also a part of her offerings.
Gwendolyn’s legal experience includes first-party insurance defense, where she represented numerous clients in claims for property damage, including hurricane-related cases, against insurance carriers. Currently, she practices full-time as a plaintiffs’ attorney and county/family court mediator, bringing extensive expertise and dedication to each case.
